Congratulations to Bill and John for their hard work in achieving LEED Accredited Professional status with the USGBC.

The LEED Green Building Rating System evaluates environmental performance from a whole building perspective and provides standards for what constitutes a green building.

John states, “The LEED program emphasizes the importance of energy efficiency and sustainable building practices. As a LEED AP, I really have a good understanding of what it takes to apply the USGBC standards to the way buildings are designed and built.”

Echoing John’s comments, Bill pointed out, “Going green has a tremendous impact on our environment and productivity. LEED accreditation gives me the knowledge to help improve building marketability and provide healthy places to work.”

Bill and John are now accredited in Commercial Interiors and New Construction, offering valued insight into sustainable design and building practices. Their unique perspective as LEED Accredited Professionals can serve to facilitate the LEED certification process and provide your projects with enhanced construction expertise and management.

Should you be considering LEED certification for any of your projects, please contact Bill Fera at (978) 777-0607 (ext. 212) or bfera@bwkconstruction.com.

BWK is renovating the Rez Café and Student Lounge in the Mayer Campus Center at Tufts University. The work includes custom millwork, food service equipment and 3form panel systems. A fast-track construction schedule has been implemented to accommodate the returning students for the upcoming semester.

BWK recently completed the Wayland High School Field House renovation, which encompassed a complete makeover of the athletic flooring system, surrounding track and spectator seating. The existing hardwood floor was replaced with a synthetic material, the surrounding track was resurfaced and a state of the art bleacher system was installed to provide for a comfortable, fan-friendly atmosphere. The installation of four retractable ceiling-hung basketball backstops highlighted the project, creating a multi-use athletic facility for the students and community to enjoy.
