BWK Construction Co., Inc. served as the General Contractor for the Belmont Hill and Winsor School Boathouse. The 5,000 sf project was successfully completed within a restricted time period and involved intensive permit coordination between the Metropolitan District Commission, the Cambridge Conservation Commission and other jurisdictional authorities. A 1,000 sf addition, set on piles, was added to the existing structure to allow locker rooms, ADA accessibility and installation of composting toilet systems. Exterior architectural detail includes diamond-cut siding and two-tone roofing patterns while the interior included milled birch paneling on walls and ceilings throughout and 9x9 mahogany bay doors.
